Premier Artist month has definitely started out with a BANG at Daz-land with the release of Terradome 3 Iray. I have been waiting for this since I heard of the merger between RDNA and Daz. I am still learning how to use the system, but I am already very much in love with it. The thing that I like most about the Terradome system is its flexibility. There are many ways to use it, many ways to expand on it and combine it with other sets, and of course it looks great in Iray.
In addition, there are a bunch of released add-ons, and more on the way. Currently I have gotten Monumental for TerraDome 3 and PRO-HDR-SKIES Vol_1 for TerraDome 3. I am a big fan of HDRi skies because they are so flexible and can be used in many situations. Skies of iRadiance is probably one of my most used products, and it also works great together with Terradome 3.
The next add-on that I am very much looking forward to is Terra Luna. A flexible moon system would be awesome for creating fantasy scenes.
Anyway, enough of me gushing on and on. 😀
September 2016 Contest Vendors
For this Premier Artist month, you get to pick your own featured vendor! That is right, pick any ONE Daz3D vendor that you want, and then all your entries for the month will need to contain at least one item from your favorite vendor. When we announce the winners next month, we will also reveal which vendors were most popular.
The only restriction is that vendor groups (which includes many products from many different vendors), in particular Daz Originals and RuntimeDNA, CANNOT be chosen. Please clearly state your favorite/featured vendor.

Lighthearted, adorable, clever, and creative.
Such an awesome idea and composition. The Hivewire cubs totally steal the show with superb poses and expressions. I love that the chess player cub has glasses on, and his friends and fans are just having a blast.
Mihrelle’s Isabis looks terrific here and is very well posed. Camera angle and framing is perfect.
“The most important thing in life is learning how to fall” is also a big favorite with the judges. Another original concept with great poses, movement, cub accessories, and playful humor. That cub skateboarder is just too precious for words. 😀
2nd Place – Hunting

Incredible composition and richness to this scene. Love all the detail in the vegetation and animals, the poses, saturated palette, and everything else. The textures are fantastic and I am totally blown away by the Quixel Megascans log.
Noggin’s Rabbit and Hare are marvelously featured, as is the Daz Big Cat 2 leopard. There was a great sale on Noggin’s animals in the PA catch-up sale last week, and I am so very glad I picked up the rabbit and hare.
An all-round fabulous piece that also shows the power of combining Daz Studio and Vue.
2nd Place – Ronya

Wonderfully realistic! This image looks like a photograph.
It would make an amazing promo for OOT’s Everyday Updo Hair and Raiya’s Ronya HD character. The textures and lighting are terrific, as is the choice of outfit and environment. Her skin is detailed and lighted perfectly. If I didn’t already own Ronya, this winning entry would make me want to buy her right away!
3rd Place – Moonlight Serenade

A delightful image that uses TerraLUNA 3 to great effect. The back-light from the moon beautifully defines Stonemason’s Island Castle and the girl, as well as provides the perfect whimsical mood to the piece.
It is brilliant how the different Stonemason products are combined to create an integrated whole. Each element contributes an important piece to the story and the end result is absolute magic!
Wish I had thought of this, as it would make an excellent promo image for TerraLUNA as well as for Stonemason.
3rd Place – Recharging

Outstanding how Ron’s 2D brushes are so well integrated with the rendered 3D elements. This is something that I always have trouble with, and you do it with such ease and mastery.
Excellent character design, with the buzz haircut, expression, and various accessories. Everything fits superbly well together. Kudos!

Dragon Hiding by ewcarman
These compositions featuring 3D Universe’s Mythical Dragon are awesome, creative, and super fun. Unfortunately, Daz is doing some server updates, so I was only able to grab the small thumbnail image for Dragon Hiding. Magnificent expression and concept!
Happily, I was also able to access the Dragon Sleeping image below, which features our hero dragon in another rich scene with fantastic expression, details, and character. Incredible work!
Dragon Girl by Divone Lerade
A stunning dragon girl, fabulously posed with her dragon companion. The blue and gold color tones used throughout is marvelous. I especially love the gold tattoos on the girl, which matches the gold on her outfit so very well. In addition, the blue/gold hair and her golden eyes are outstanding.
She is otherworldly, draws the eye, and a wonderfully designed dragon warrior.
