Wow! Another Premier Artist Month at Daz that leaves my credit card weeping. 😀 There were some truly awesome deals and some cool new releases.
- TerraLUNA 3 – This one has got to be my top favorite. I do a lot of fantasy images, and having a moon system that works so well in Iray is something that I can use again and again. I hope they come up with an expansion pack with more textures, for example various lava planet options, planet rings, and more. There are so many cool possibilities!
- Mayan Ruins – Stonemason released three awesome jungle environment sets. I picked up Mayan Ruins and can’t wait to try it out! The Jungle Construction Kit is also very tempting. If it goes on sale again during one of the catch-up days, it will be very very difficult to resist. My wallet will weep some more. 😀
- Super Sleeky Hair – Finally, the power team of OOT and Raiya released some superb hair and character sets. I am a big fan of super long hair with lots of movement morphs so I very quickly grabbed Super Sleeky Hair. Being able to easily change hair length is also a great feature.

Wow! Absolutely love this piece. Great concept, movement, textures, everything!
Such a wonderful message and feeling associated with this image, and I am blown away by how good the ocean looks. Must definitely check out iREAL Animated Ocean Water System.
The judges were also very impressed by Shozai’s other entries, so definitely check out Shozai’s gallery. I have included a few more images below. They are all amazingly rendered, superbly composed, and covers a variety of themes. Truly spectacular work.
2nd Place – Puddles

Another unique and incredible concept.
The camera work is marvelous, as is the rain effects on the outside. This perfectly contrasts with the fire on the inside. The outfit of the girl is brilliant, with the umbrella and hat matching the rain, but the lingerie matching the warm fire. Finally, beautiful textures and shaders on the skin, objects, and environment.
A fantastic piece of art!
3rd Place – Witches Just Want To Have Fun

Hahaha, such a terrific group shot!
Outstanding expressions, poses, make-up, and outfits. I am currently reading the True Blood book on witches, so it was really a hoot to see this image. This group definitely knows how to have fun! 😀
Excellent use of Nox Hair by Daz Originals, together with superb details and depth in the environment. Love the crows, tombstones, and creepy trees. Talking about crows, your Master of Crows image is also fabulous. Wonderful DOF, bird poses, and flaming wings. I am also a big fan of the Rainstorm outfit.

3rd Place – Blood Red Silk

Wondrously sensual.
Marvelous poses and great use of color to create just the right tension and accent to the piece. There is also a voyeuristic element to the image, as if the viewer is intruding on a very private moment between the dancers; all of which heightens the power of the composition. Michael 7 looks fantastic here!
Very tasteful and erotic.
Honorable Mentions
Indian Summer by ThatGuy
An amazing composition with great atmosphere and mood.
There is a definite sadness to piece, which masterfully captures the passage of time with the old bridge, boat, house, and changing leaves on the tree. The misty environment suggests uncertainty, and an occluded future.
I also love the hot air balloon, which provides depth and a wonderful color accent to the picture. Perhaps there is hope for some brightness and color just beyond the mist.
Sunny In Sicily by Hemms
Beautiful, realistic, photograph quality image.
Her skin looks marvelously tanned, her outfit is fabulous, and the environment is picture perfect. This definitely makes me want to take a vacation in the Mediterranean. Such a captivating image with a great positive vibe. An especially good thing to have in these times.
Warrior’s Respite by Merceneiress
A magical image with excellent lighting, creativity, and whimsy.
The colors are gorgeous, with the blues from the will-o-wisps perfectly setting off the red of her hair, and warm tones of her outfit. Terrific depth in the scene, which is superbly captured by the trail of will-o-wisps over the brilliantly placed mushrooms.

Funny, cool lighting, spooky environment, and terrific poses. Halloween never looked better! 😀
