Wow! January was sure a landmark month. A lot going on in the World and here.
On Daz-land, I was most excited with the release of demon/devil girl Anneka. I like her morph, different looking skin, and of course the wings and tail additions in the Pro bundle. Great looking outfits and hairs as well, so picked her up right away. Definitely my favorite of the month.
I also picked up a couple of cool looking sets by Forbidden Whispers in one of the sales. Mysterious Tomb would be great for Raiders of the Lost Ark and Lara Croft type renders, as well as Egyptian themed fantasy images. Abandoned Factory Floor would be excellent for playing with lights and shadows, with all those interesting windows and catwalks.

1st Place – Chillin’
Artist – Anagord
Wonderfully creative composition with superb effects, atmosphere, and pose.
Cool combination of outfits to create something totally new and fabulous. All the pieces fit perfectly, and matches the otherworldly look of the character as well as her black makeup. The unsaturated image palette, together with the mist effects, strike exactly the right ethereal, dreamlike chord that is difficult to capture.
Maia Hair by AprilYSH is cleverly used here to add movement, which is enhanced by her cape and the glowing particles from Ron’s War Essentials.
Brilliant how the somber tones and background ruins contrast with her whimsical pose and image title. An emotionally evocative piece, showcasing both consistency and contrasts in a most masterful way.
2nd Place – At the Beach Cafe

Wow! Incredibly realistic, with rich details and fantastic camera-work.
Excellent camera angle and framing to bring out the best in ForbiddenWhispers’ Beach Cafe Construction Kit and Beach Cafe Interior Furniture. I can look through the windows to see inside the cafe, but there is also reflection on the glass of the outside characters.
This marvelously realistic environment is accompanied by beautiful skin textures from P3D Leora HD, as well as terrific choice of clothing and clothing textures. All this, together with awesome expressions (on both girl and cat), camera tilt, and crop, makes this into an outstanding work of art.
3rd Place – Battle Geisha

A very striking image, wonderfully posed and textured.
The colors are superb and makes the character pop right out of the screen. Vivid pinks contrast well with the her dark hair and gold accessories. Thian Hair is amazingly featured, with a dynamic pose that flows naturally around the character.
Our heroine is boldly magnificent and she stands ready to fight!
3rd Place – Persephone In The Flowers
Artist – dreamfarmer
A terrific top-down view image, that is rarely attempted because it is so challenging to pose.
LY Harper is splendid and perfect as Persephone, with her flower tattoos and green hair. Indeed, her hair is remarkably posed for a lying down position, which I always have a lot of trouble with, so great respect!
The vibrant red flowers are gorgeous and contrast well with the greens the whites in the image. A beautiful composition with a very captivating character.

The girl is superb, and her darker skin contrasts well with her white dress. There is a very charming innocence about her.
Outstanding bokeh effects, and excellent addition of all those butterflies around her. She looks both surprised and joyful, which is how one feels when viewing this marvelous render.

Absolutely love her outfit, which sparkles beautifully under the bokeh lighting and matches her stunning violet eyes. AprilYSH’s Harlow Hair 2 frames her face wonderfully, and provides a very classic look. A fantastic composition.

This girl is incredible, and you featured her magnificently in all her golden glory. Love the hair blowing in the wind and the wispy fabric floating around her. She looks to be at peace and enjoying the wind and sunshine on her face.

A funny and charming scene with terrific details.
Fabulous use of Day in Bed by ForbiddenWhispers. The bright pink colors are happy and cheery, giving the composition an amazing positive mood. Super fun expression and pose on the girl, and her delightful outfit perfectly fits with everything else. Finally, one cannot help but love the cheeky cat sauntering away, after who knows what devilish deed.
An awesome image, that lifts the spirits and lightens the heart.
